FISHING
There are many great locations to fish around your student apartment in Tallahassee if your father enjoys fishing. There are freshwater fishing spots at Lake Lafayette, maybe a family trip to Tom Brown park east of Tallahassee in the Miccosukee area for family fun and fishing, Lake Jackson or Lake Talquin. Or maybe head south to the Gulf of Mexico for a saltwater fishing charter experience.
GOLF
Right up there with fishing, most dads enjoy a good round of golf, and Tallahassee is home to many golf courses. The Jake Gaither Golf Course is located south of the College Town area and a short commute to FAMU. Capital City Country Club is a semi-private club that offers public play opportunities and is located in downtown Tallahassee. Or perhaps a golf weekend away like the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in the Sandestin/Miramar Beach area where they offer four courses from The Links Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club, Raven Golf Club, and Burnt Pine.
SPORTING EVENT
There are many sports teams around your apartment, and we are sure whatever sport your dad enjoys, Tallahassee has it especially if he enjoys the collegiate level of sports. Check out the FSU options or FAMU. Maybe a single ticket or passes for the whole season to any of these? From football to baseball and every sport in between.
FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Maybe dad is looking for a break from his busy schedule and just wants a day to spend with his family. Some options include the Florida Historic Capitol Museum, Tallahassee Museum or a trip south to the Gulf Specimen Marine Aquarium, or the Funstation Family Fun Center is sure to be a hit with kids and grownups!
